Turning pitch black into a postcard

I ventured up to the Atherton Tablelands for a couple of days to shoot some stock tourism images and decided to make my way to Millaa Millaa Falls, a place that I'd visited many times before but only during the day.

It was pitch black like a cave so thankfully I had a torch at the ready which not only helped with the light painting but also stopped me from bumping into anything untoward in the night :)

This was shot on my new Sony A7SIII which is an amazing low light performer. I used the Sony 16-35 f/2.8 GM lens and exposed for 30 seconds at f/2.8 @ 3200ISO.

I'm really happy with the results - it was quite tricky light painting with the sheer amount of spray coming off the falls but after about 20 attempts I ended up with something useable.
