Recently I was assigned to capture the unloading of pipes from a ship at the Port of Townsville. This was perfect for using the 4K time-lapse process, something that I have been busy doing around the country for the past ten years. The Townsville City Council are in the process of duplicating the Haughton Pipeline with 36.5km of new 1.8m diameter GRP pipe which will, according to the designers and engineers, "provide water security" for Townsville. The HPDP (Haughton Pipeline Duplication Project) will use more than 2,800 13m sections of glass-fibre reinforced plastic pipe and is expected to be completed by December 2019.
